Personal
This picture of my mother and my older brother, Mike, was taken 13 years before my mother gave me the Kodak Brownie camera she is holding in the photograph. I distinctly remember the day she gave me the camera. I was nine years old and restless. She said, "Here, play with this." My mother handed me her Brownie camera, and I went outside to play. I looked down into the camera's viewfinder and I was fascinated instantly: my nine-year-old world was upside down. Since that day, I have enjoyed looking at the world through the medium of a camera.

Although my mother is gone now, photography connects me
with her spirit. When she was alive, she would review my work. When she saw a picture she liked, she would say, "You get that from me." And I would always smile.

Career
I was graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in journalism/English. I worked a few years as a reporter/photographer for the Athol Daily News. I have taken pictures professionally for the past eight years. As a vendor, I am contracted by the Lenox Hotel to photograph wedding receptions. The Lenox Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts, is recognized as a four-star hotel.

I am a member of the Commerical Industrial Photographers of New England (CIPNE).

My fondest wish when I photograph an individual is to capture his or her essence, to show the world what makes that person unique and special.

When I photograph events, whether they be weddings or less formal affairs, I have two main goals: to record what is most meaningful and to capture the spirit of the occasion. My working style is unobtrusive and relaxed.

To those who have hired me, my sincerest thanks and continued good wishes.
